Seeking Interview Subjects
Public Notice Productions is seeking interview subjects for a new documentary project called In My Backyard. The short documentary will focus on a handful of Toronto residents who live in close proximity to new development sites.
Anyone who meets the following criteria is encouraged to contact Public Notice Productions to become an interview subject:
Live within walking distance of a proposed new development that has not yet started construction within the City of Toronto.
Willing to spend a minimum of approximately 2 hours (including set-up) discussing your neighbourhood, the proposed development, how it will impact you, and your vision for the future of your neighbourhood.
We are hoping to hear from home owners and renters, from every part of the city, affected positively or negatively, by any type of development, big or small.
Public Notice Productions wants to hear from people from a variety of backgrounds, however non-english speakers must have a friend or family-member who can speak for them.
The purpose of In My Backyard is to make a record of the current attitudes towards new development in the City of Toronto. The city is facing tremendous pressure to create more housing for more residents, and this has created conflicts that are often over-simplified in the media.
This is an opportunity to express your views freely to an impartial documentarian.
